This WWE legend praises Jade Cargill for her eagerness to learn.
During a recent edition of his Hall of Fame podcast, Booker T discussed mentoring WWE Women’s Champion Jade Cargill.
The former World Heavyweight Champion revealed that Jade reached out to him after he expressed his willingness to help her reach the next level on a previous episode of his podcast.
“We talked about it on the show, and I said something about Jade as far as she’s got so much working for her, so many boxes checked off, and if I can work with someone like her and try and get her to the next level, it’d be awesome,” Booker T said.
“Next thing I know I get a message, a direct message, saying ‘hey I wanna take you up on that offer and work with you’, and that right there tells me she’s smart enough to know she’s not the smartest person in the room as far as this thing goes, and if I can go find some help to help get me to the next level, let me do that.
“We do Zoom studies, film studies, really try and get down to the nuts and bolts as far as how things work in this business, why that works opposed to this. ‘Man, I love that right there, keep doing that, give me more of that. That part right there, I don’t want to ever see that again.’”

“That right there will take you so far in this business if you’ve got someone telling you these things, but explaining why you wanna take that out and perhaps never do it again.
“A coach has foresight because they’ve been there before, and that’s what I try and give Jade more than anything. I see some of the mistakes she may be making, and I can correct those mistakes from an outside looking in, it’s so crystal clear.
“So for me working with someone like her, who is obviously still a sponge at this stage of the game, and want those tools, need those tools as far as how to use those tools is very important, so for me it’s been awesome being able to work with the champ.” [H/T: WrestleTalk]
Booker T was one of the names Jade Cargill mentioned when revealing who has been mentoring her behind the scenes. Jade is the reigning WWE Women’s Champion on SmackDown and is currently feuding with Jordynne Grace.
