CM Punk is blunt about his WWE WrestleMania program with Roman Reigns.
The OTC punched his ticket to WrestleMania 42 with a major win this past Saturday. Reigns entered the 2026 Men’s Royal Rumble match at No. 26. It took him five eliminations to earn a world title match on the Showcase of the Immortals.
Roman Reigns laid down his WrestleMania challenge the following Monday on WWE RAW. During his fiery promo exchange with CM Punk, Reigns referenced the infamous podcast interview with Colt Cabana that made his life “harder than it ever should’ve been.”
The former Undisputed WWE Champion also acknowledged their roles as “Zebras” in Zootopia 2 with an NSFW remark, though the line was edited out of the replay by Netflix. The promo segment ended with Reigns delivering his signature catchphrase before exiting the ring.

CM Punk recently appeared on the Up & Adams podcast with Kay Adams and Rob Gronkowski. During the interview, the World Heavyweight Champion explained the stakes of his WWE WrestleMania 42 feud with Roman Reigns, calling it a “d*ck-measuring contest.”
“The lore is we’re two top guys in the industry, so it’s going to be, you know, it’s going to be a measuring contest. You see, I’m being very, uh… I’m being very cautious about my words,” CM Punk said.
Punk then paused before asking if he could say “d*ck-measuring contest,” adding, “I can say that?” He also addressed whether he hates Roman Reigns.
“No, I don’t. I don’t hate him at all,” Punk said. “But I get that I’m the guy who gets under people’s skin. I can draw that out of them. I really make people step up and become the best version of themselves because they want to shut me up. They want to shut me off. And I love that. If I can get him emotional, I mean, when you played against guys, you start chirping, you start talking to them, you could see it. You’re getting in their head. And if you’re in their head, you know you can beat them on the field.”
