WWE’s Seth Rollins and AEW World Champion MJF crossed paths during Super Bowl week. Both stars appeared at Radio Row ahead of Super Bowl 2026.
The brief encounter, captured on video, quickly made the rounds online and drew attention. Top stars from rival promotions interacting publicly doesn’t make for a common sight.
The moment took place on Thursday, February 5, 2026, in the San Francisco Bay Area. Rollins and MJF were among several athletes and entertainers making media appearances.
Video clips showed the two initially engaging in a tense stare before laughing, talking briefly, and shaking hands.
As the clip ended, Rollins could be heard saying, “Somebody’s gonna get mad at this,” while MJF responded, “I appreciate you.”
Seth Rollins and MJF Meet During Super Bowl Media Week
Both men arrived at Radio Row from very different professional circumstances. Rollins is currently sidelined while recovering from shoulder surgery suffered last year. MJF, meanwhile, was fresh off competing on the Feb. 4 episode of AEW Dynamite, where he lost a World Title Eliminator match to Brody King.
That loss now sets up MJF to defend the AEW World Championship against King later this month at AEW Grand Slam: Australia. Despite the setback, the AEW star’s presence during Super Bowl week underscored his continued role as one of AEW’s top representatives.
The interaction also carried added context, given MJF’s past comments about Rollins. During a July 2025 appearance on Busted Open Radio, MJF praised Rollins as “a freak of nature” and one of WWE’s defining stars, drawing parallels between their respective roles in WWE and AEW.
While no crossover could occur as a result of this, the respectful exchange highlighted a rare moment of mutual acknowledgment between two of the industry’s most prominent figures during one of sports’ biggest weeks.
