Charlotte Flair opens up about the bond she shares with a WWE fan battling cancer.
WWE Superstar Charlotte Flair recently appeared in an interview with Doug Bopst. During the conversation, Charlotte recounted her relationship with a young cancer patient named Scarlett, explaining how she initially got in touch with the girl.
“So, I think one of the things that has been very impactful in my life is this relationship with this little girl… I am not going to get emotional. Her name is Scarlett and she has a brain tumor. While I was out with a knee injury, one of the social media guys, MJ, was with her and she was saying, ‘My favorite wrestler is Charlotte.’ So MJ texted me and asked, ‘Hey, can I FaceTime you with Scarlett? I am with her through Make-A-Wish at one of the hospitals.’ And I said, ‘Oh, absolutely,'” Flair said.
“So I FaceTimed with her. Long story short, I ended up staying in touch with her and she has really been such an inspiration to me and to my life. I have thrown myself into what I could do for her as a fan. When you put life into perspective, when you think you are having a bad day or are upset over things that are not important, she puts everything into perspective for me. She reminds me to live each day and not take things so seriously. Because things can be taken away from you so quickly.

“Here she is, six or seven years old, fighting this life-threatening battle, but she faces it head-on with no fear. She is still smiling and still doing the things she wants to do. She is such a light in my life. I think another way you can better yourself is by investing in others when you do not know what to do. She has been such a big part of my life for almost two years now.”
Charlotte Flair paid tribute to Scarlett at WWE Survivor Series: WarGames 2025 with her ring gear. The girl, who is battling Diffuse Midline Glioma, a Grade 4 brain tumor, helped Charlotte design her ring gear for the Premium Live Event.
As Flair made her way down to the ring, she met Scarlett at ringside. The two shared a special moment before the match. Inside the ring, Flair’s gear stood out in a big win for her team, which also featured Rhea Ripley, IYO SKY, Alexa Bliss, and AJ Lee.
