Brutal Steel Chair Attack Forces Ethan Page To Grant WWE NXT North American Championship Match

Ethan Page walked into the February 17 episode of WWE NXT determined to add another successful defense to his resume — but he left with more than just a target on his back.

By the end of the night, “All Ego” had been forced into granting another North American Championship match under painful circumstances.

Page defended the NXT North American Championship against Shiloh Hill in the main event. The bout was competitive from the opening lockup, with Hill controlling early exchanges before Page slowed the pace with methodical offense. The Vanity Project eventually appeared at ringside, tipping the odds in the champion’s favor.

Hill rallied late, even removing his tooth and firing up with right hands that had the crowd behind him. However, interference from the Vanity Project created an opening.

Page capitalized, striking Hill with Twisted Grin on the exposed floor before delivering another inside the ring to secure the pinfall and retain his title.

The chaos didn’t end with the bell. Myles Borne stormed to the ring and cleared out the Vanity Project before turning his attention to Ethan Page.

Demanding another shot at the North American Championship, Borne pressed the issue as Hill slid a steel chair into the ring.

With the chair wrapped around his leg, Page faced a tough decision. Rather than risk further damage, the champion granted Borne a title match for next week. The agreement, however, didn’t stop the assault. Borne leapt and delivered a brutal Pillmanizing to Page’s leg anyway.

Ethan Page may still hold the gold, but next week he’ll have to defend it on a potentially compromised leg. In NXT, ego can carry you far — but sometimes it costs you dearly.
