Jacob Fatu wishes he could celebrate the Bloodline’s success with some of the most iconic members of the Samoan Dynasty.
The Samoan Werewolf spoke with WrestleZone about 2K26 Creator Fest and asked if there’s a “what-if” scenario from his career. Cover athlete CM Punk’s 2k Showcase Mode storyline is framed around what could have happened if he hadn’t left WWE in 2014.
Fatu initially joked that going to jail is a good one, but then said that he wishes some of his legendary family members, Umaga and Yokozuna, were still around to see how the Samoan bloodline is flourishing in WWE today. Yokozuna (Rodney Anoa’i) passed away in 2000, while Umaga (Eddie Fatu) died in 2009.
“Yeah, what if I didn’t go to jail? [laughs] Yeah, bro, there’s a lot of what-ifs. But you know what? We could say a lot of what-ifs about this and that, but at the end of the day, I think it’s just about just the stuff happening [now],” Jacob Fatu explained.
“I do have a what-if: what if my uncle Umaga and Yokozuna didn’t pass away?” he continued. “What if they would’ve been here to see their kids? What if they would’ve been here to see everything that the Bloodline and the Samoan dynasty that they had started, what they had built, to what it is now. So if it is what it is, it’ll probably be just them being alive. That’s about it.”
Jacob Fatu is trying to make sure he finds a spot on the WrestleMania 42 card
As it stands, Jacob Fatu does not have a confirmed match at WrestleMania 42. He pointed out that last year, he didn’t have a match at WrestleMania until about two weeks out, and went on to win the United States Championship. Keeping that in mind, Fatu says there’s only a few more weeks until WrestleMania, and he needs to get some momentum back and not get comfortable.
“So, I think it’s just get back into motion one. Get back to what Jacob Fatu needs to do, what I did to get here. Even though I’m here, don’t get comfortable,” Fatu explained. “When you get comfortable, that’s when you start losing stuff. So, it’s me getting back out being uncomfortable. I gotta be uncomfortable to get comfortable, if that makes sense. So, yeah, just keep a tune in, man. All gas, no brakes.”
Fatu is scheduled to face Drew McIntyre on Friday’s episode of WWE SmackDown.
The standard edition of WWE 2K26 will be released on Friday, March 13, 2026. The King of Kings, Attitude Era, and Monday Night War editions were released on Friday, March 6, for Early Access players. You can pre-order all versions of the game right now.
