Drew McIntyre knows the guy to talk to if WWE fans want change.
The WWE Universe has been begging for Drew McIntyre to get “Broken Dreams” back as his theme song. McIntyre has even entertained the idea for years now, but it still hasn’t happened.
During a new interview with IGN at WWE 2K26 Creator Fest, McIntyre reacted to a bunch of Drew McIntyre-themed memes. The WWE Champion reacted to a ‘Why are you so quiet? What’s on your mind?’ meme that shows a person daydreaming about his “Broken Dreams” theme song.
“Broken Dreams, I know we all love it. I hear about it every day, I see it on social media every day. I get told about it and asked about it every day. Just keep Tweeting Triple H; harass him, bombard his Twitter account. He’s the one that can ultimately make that decision.”
McIntyre believes his current theme, “Gallantry (Defining Moment Remix)” fits just fine, but he’d love to bring “Broken Dreams” back for big events.
I believe the current music suits the character perfect, but I would love [Broken Dreams] for a big event, a WrestleMania or the likes.”
Drew McIntyre really has been asked about ‘Broken Dreams’ for years
McIntyre did have a small tease of using “Broken Dreams” at WWE Clash at the Castle in 2022, but the song only served as an intro video before transitioning into the current theme.
During a 2024 appearance on WWE’s The Bump, McIntyre said that it was cool to hear the fans signing along to the theme at the event. He said he always tells everyone to learn the lyrics so that they’re ready if it ever does come back.
“The cool thing about it was the fans singing along. As I knew they would, because they’ve talked about it for so long. I always tell everybody to learn the lyrics because when it [comes back], you better know them.”
Similar to his comments to IGN, McIntyre also said that he wasn’t sure the song fits his character, so fans could tag Triple H to get it done.
