A concerning moment occurred during WWE tapings ahead of the March 6 episode of SmackDown. The situation took a new turn, as Jordynne Grace has seemingly confirmed she was injured during the match.
Grace competed against Alba Fyre in a singles match taped for WWE Main Event prior to the broadcast.
While the bout concluded with a winner, the focus quickly shifted to Grace’s condition. Fans in attendance were wondering what exactly had gone wrong.
Jordynne Grace Confirms Injury After WWE Taping Before SmackDown
According to fans present at the taping, Alba Fyre picked up the victory during their bout. However, WWE medical staff immediately checked on Grace in the ring following the finish.
Reports from those in the arena suggested that Grace appeared to have hurt either her knee or ankle. While WWE has not yet issued an official medical update, the situation gained clarity when Grace addressed it herself shortly afterward.
Taking to social media (X), Grace posted a brief but telling message that appeared to confirm something had gone wrong during the taping.
“Well, at least there was already a wheelchair waiting,” she wrote on X, referencing a wheelchair that had been used earlier in the evening during a segment involving Chelsea Green.
For Grace, the timing is less than ideal. The former TNA Knockouts Champion signed with the SmackDown brand in January 2026. In that time, she has quickly become part of the women’s division conversation.
She recently faced WWE Women’s Champion Jade Cargill in a major match on the February 13 episode of SmackDown in Dallas.
Grace also secured a victory over Candice LeRae on the February 27 episode of SmackDown after Johnny Gargano accidentally distracted LeRae during the match.
This is not the first time Grace has dealt with painful in-ring setbacks. In October 2025, she suffered facial wounds after being struck with the TNA Knockouts Championship during a match with Kelani Jordan.
In June 2024, she also experienced a dramatic injury at NXT Battleground. A part of her earlobe was torn after an earring got caught on Roxanne Perez’s gear.
Grace has built a reputation for fighting through adversity. She has mustered the kind of resilience that would make even the toughest locker room veterans tip their hats. Nevertheless, her current condition remains unclear.
