What began as a tribute quickly shifted into chaos, leaving the Hall of Famer at the center of a moment that was anything but celebratory.
Keanu Carver Interrupts Booker T Tribute on WWE NXT
The segment opened with Vic Joseph hosting “Booker T Appreciation Night,” highlighting Booker’s legacy and contributions to the business.
A video package featuring several WWE stars was played. Moreover, Booker was presented with a commemorative plaque in front of his hometown crowd.
As Booker began addressing the audience, Keanu Carver interrupted — and wasted no time making his presence felt.
Carver, who has been targeting Booker T in recent weeks, dismissed the celebration entirely. Tensions escalated quickly as individuals from Booker’s Reality of Wrestling attempted to intervene, only for Carver to take them out. He then turned his attention directly to Booker, issuing a warning and disrupting the moment in emphatic fashion.
The situation spiraled further when Booker’s students inside the ring tried to step in. However, they were also overpowered. Just as things looked to be slipping completely out of control, Jasper Troy entered the scene.
Troy — who had previously been attacked by Carver — charged in and delivered a lariat that sent Carver out of the ring, halting the assault. Officials and security quickly intervened, escorting Carver away as the immediate danger subsided.
The moment served as a measure of payback for Troy, while also preventing the segment from ending on a complete sour note.
Following the confrontation, members of the NXT locker room appeared on stage to show their support for Booker T, restoring some order to the evening.
Still, the incident underscored the growing rivalry between Booker T and Keanu Carver — a situation that now appears far from over as NXT continues to build momentum toward its next chapter.
