The March 23, 2026, episode of WWE RAW continued building momentum toward WrestleMania 42. With tensions rising across multiple storylines, one segment stood out, mainly because of a surprising mention of an AEW star during a promo involving Paul Heyman and Brock Lesnar.
The show showed a recap of last week’s segment featuring Brock Lesnar, Seth Rollins, and Oba Femi. That segment ended with Femi hitting Lesnar with a powerful powerbomb, setting up their rivalry.
Paul Heyman References Dean Ambrose During Brock Lesnar Segment
On this week’s RAW, Lesnar came out with Heyman by his side. As fans chanted for Oba Femi, Heyman warned that their support was only making Lesnar angrier. He tried to spin last week’s events by saying Lesnar had already taken down several attackers before being distracted by Rollins, which gave Femi the chance to strike.
During his promo, Heyman listed several big names Lesnar has defeated in the past at WrestleMania, including The Undertaker, Goldberg, Braun Strowman, Bobby Lashley, AJ Styles, and John Cena. Interestingly, he also mentioned Dean Ambrose, who is now known as Jon Moxley in AEW.
This reference caught attention because WWE rarely mentions stars from rival promotions. By bringing up Ambrose, Heyman reminded fans of his brutal No Holds Barred Street Fight with Lesnar at WrestleMania 32 in 2016.
Heyman ended by confidently saying Oba Femi would face the same fate as everyone else. But just then, Femi made his entrance.
As Lesnar tried to hit an F-5, Femi escaped and delivered a clothesline that knocked Lesnar over the top rope. Femi once again got the upper hand.
Lesnar backed up the ramp with Heyman as he shouted, “You ain’t that lucky boy,” even though he looked shaken.
Femi and Lesnar’s feud started at the 2026 Royal Rumble, where they both had a face-off moment, before Lesnar eliminated Femi. Later, Lesnar issued an open challenge for WrestleMania 42, which was answered by Femi last week when he delivered his finisher, “Fall from Grace,” to Lesnar.
