WWE Raw Results:

FAFO, F5!

Paul Heyman and Brock Lesnar make their way to the ring. Heyman says Lesnar will destroy Oba Femi. Femi interrupts. Lesnar boots Femi in the gut and sets up an F5. Femi escapes and clotheslines Lesnar over the top. Lesnar looks stunned and eventually slinks away.

Grade: B

Good opener. Femi looks strong, and at this point, that’s all that matters.

The Usos (c) vs. Austin Theory and Logan Paul

Theory and Paul are in control. After the break, Jey fires up. The turnbuckle pad comes flying off. Theory surprises Jey with a rolling Blockbuster. Jey Spears Theory. Logan Paul knocks Jey off the top rope. Jimmy gets sent into the steps. Paul puts on his brass knuckles. LA Knights music hits, and he knocks the knucks into the ring. Jey picks them up and decks Theory with them. The referee calls for the bell. The Usos have been disqualified.

Winners- Austin Theory and Logan Paul

After the match, Jey rolls back in and knocks Paul out with the knucks.

Grade: C+

Creative way to get to a title match at WrestleMania. The good guys getting themselves DQ’d in this manner doesn’t happen often.

The Man

Becky Lynch rants about going out of her way to make the Women’s Intercontinental Championship. AJ Lee doesn’t deserve the championship. Lynch went home after losing and witnessed her daughter singing Lee’s song and skipping around. Lee’s claim to fame was running the Divas’ era. Lynch proclaims she killed the Divas’ era. AJ Lee runs down to the ring. Lynch escapes through the crowd.

Lee stands on the commentary deck and challenges Lynch to a match at WrestleMania, while noting she is Lynch’s favorite wrestler’s favorite wrestler… as well as Lynch’s daughter’s favorite wrestler. Lynch says Lee skipped into her trap. The last time Lee competed at WrestleMania, she quit the company the next day. This time, Lynch will save Lee the trouble. Lynch promises to end Lee at WrestleMania.

Grade: B

Great back and forth between Lee and Lynch. This Mania match needs a stipulation. This angle is to the point where this Mania match should be the end of this feud.

Grayson Waller vs. Je’Von Evans

Waller and Evans trade flip counters before Evans lands a dropkick. A bouncy rana sends Waller careening out of the ring. Evans hits a suicide dive that he almost overshoots and kills himself in the process. Evans pops up as if nothing happened. Waller and Kofi Kingston get into it at ringside. Evans takes both men out with a dive. After the break, Evans lands the red dot. Waller kicks out.

Kingston seems way too excited for Evans. Waller attempts his rolling flatliner, but Evans counter with a leaping knee to the face. Evans goes up top, but gets cut off by Waller. Waller nails Evans with a front flip unprettier. Evans and Waller fight up top. Waller pushes Evans off. Evans pops back up top and sends Waller flying with a super rana. OG Cutter by Evans! Evans pins Waller.

Winner- Je’Von Evans

Grade: B

This was a super fun TV match. Evans, as always, did several things none of us have seen before and almost killed himself yet again. This writer was highly sports entertained.

Heyman’s Bad Night

Paul Heyman says he has no one left to hide behind. Heyman reminds us all that most of the Vision is hurt, but he has no choice. Heyman has a stalker: Seth Rollins. Sometimes a man has to do what a man has to do, so Heyman calls Rollins out to the ring so they can settle this now. A masked man appears in the crowd and hops on the commentary desk. The man removes his mask, and it’s Seth Rollins. Local police arrive and arrest Rollins.

Heyman has a restraining order. As Rollins is being led away, Heyman rants about Rollins wife being loose and with Rollins going to jail, he’ll happily adopt Rollins’ daughter. Rollins makes a beeline back to the ring. Heyman tosses the mic at Rollins, but Rollins runs through it and obliterates Heyman with a nasty right hand. The police tackle Rollins and handcuff him. Heyman laughs as Rollins is dragged away.

Grade: B

Heyman hasn’t taken this many bumps in years. Homie is earning his paycheck. Is Rollins cleared on not? That haymaker he threw leads me to believe his shoulder is ok. Where is all of this heading?

Bayley and Lyra Valkyria vs. The Kabuki Warriors

Asuka and Sane work over Bayley. After the break, Bayley manages to tag in Valkyria. Valkyria gets a nearfall after a powerbomb. Sane counters a delayed vertical suplex into a DDT. Bayley sets up Asuka on the commentary desk. Bayley tries to put Asuka through the table with an elbow drop, but Sane pulls Asuka out of the way. Valkyria takes out Sane and Asuka with a dropkick through the ropes. Valkyria hits Sane with Nightwing for the win.

Winners- Bayley and Lyra Valkyria

After the match, Bayley lays out a challenge to the tag team champions.

Grade: C+

Solid TV match.

Intercontinental Championship Match | Penta (c) vs. Dominik Mysterio w/Liv Morgan

While Dominik makes his way to the ring, Women’s World Champion Stephanie Vaquer attacks Morgan on the ramp. Morgan and Vaquer kick the crap out of each other into the backstage area.

Back in the ring, Dominik jumpstarts the match. After a bit of offense, Dominik lands a diving tornado DDT out on the floor. After the break, Penta lands a tope. Dominik counters the Mexican Destroyer with a Michinoku driver. Penta kicks out. 619 by Dominik. Dominik goes up top. Finn Bálor’s music hits. JD McDonagh tries to protect Dominik, but is quickly dispatched. Dominik tries a frog splash. Penta gets his knees up and pins Dominik.

Winner and STILL Intercontinental Champion, Penta!

After the match, Bálor attacks Dominik. McDonagh saves Dominik from a double stomp and ends up eating one of his own.

Grade: C+

Fine match for TV. Just another step closer to the inevitable WrestleMania match between Dominik and Bálor. Weirdly, Penta doesn’t have much going on heading into Mania. With a title around his waist, that’s just odd. Penta is the second fiddle in this whole thing.

CM Punk

CM Punk notes that no one in Roman Reigns’ family can do anything on their own. Punk is tired of talking. Reigns calling him old last week got to him. Punk’s young boy (Reigns) doesn’t get to call him that. Is he old? Yes. Is he ashamed of it? No. Hell no. He’s proud of it. Punk is middle-aged and crazy like Terry Funk. Punk runs down the Usos and Reigns. Jey Uso interrupts. Punk says if Jey wants a fight, he can have a title match right now. Jimmy Uso comes out next. Jimmy asks Jey what he’s doing.

Jey doesn’t care about anything other than getting his get back. Jimmy tells Jey to leave Punk to Reigns. Jey says Reigns ain’t even out here, and he’s tired of Punk talking ish. Roman Reigns music hits, and he joins the Usos in the ring. Reigns “respectfully” asks the Usos to leave his ring. Jimmy pulls Jey away. Punk says Reigns knows he needs the help. Jey rushes Punk. Punl decks Jey. Reigns Superman Punches Punk.

Raw GM Adam Pearce and officials hit the ring. As the Usos and Reigns are leaving, Jey tells Reigns he needs to get Punk for everything he’s said. Reigns turns around and Spears Punk. Reigns beats the hell out of Punk and powerbombs him through the commentary desk. While Reigns watches, Punk, who is writhing in pain, laughs about Reigns needing help.

Grade: B

Hell of a way to end the show. Did Jey really call a shot, and Reigns took it? Talk about a role reversal. This match is scorching hot.

WWE Raw Review:

This week’s show built off solid momentum from last week as we march down the road to WrestleMania. Raw wasn’t as heavy on solid in-ring this week; it was more about building the stories mostly outside of the ring, which can be a gamble. WWE almost always fails at this, but tonight was a good mix of promos and good enough matches, with Evans and Waller taking match of the night honors. What did you all think of the show? Let us know in the comments!
