Lil Yachty Claps Back at Critics Over WWE WrestleMania 42 Appearance

Lil Yachty recently responded to criticism about his involvement in WWE WrestleMania 42, and he did not hold back at all.

Yachty appeared on WWE SmackDown on April 3 alongside Trick Williams. During that segment, he was also invited to be part of a WrestleMania 42 moment. Many fans were not happy with another celebrity being added to WWE’s biggest show.

This year, WWE has featured a lot of celebrities in major storylines. Names like Jelly Roll, Pat McAfee, and IShowSpeed have all been involved. Some fans feel it is too much. One fan even edited a WrestleMania 42 poster, replacing the wrestlers with celebrities like Tom Brady, Lil Yachty, Jelly Roll, Pat McAfee and IShowSpeed.

Lil Yachty saw the backlash and decided to respond directly. The Rapper made it clear that he is not just a celebrity guest. He considers himself a real wrestling fan and replied on X, formerly known as Twitter.

He wrote, “i understand yall upset but don’t try and step on my fucking moment, i’m at the tv screen every monday and friday religiously. i’ve been to more ple’s than most. i probably know more history than most of yall. who’s to say i don’t deserve to be apart of something i love so dearly?”

He defended his place in WWE strongly and made it clear that this means a lot to him personally. Yachty confirmed his involvement for WrestleMania 42 last week on WWE SmackDown. Williams is set to challenge Sami Zayn for the United States Championship. That match could end up including Yachty in some way.
