According to WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select, WWE inquired about securing advertising space on the Las Vegas Sphere during WrestleMania week.
The venue, known for its massive digital display, has quickly become one of the most eye-catching platforms in the world. This is the kind of stage where even a titan like WWE would want to cut a promo.
Reports indicate that WWE had already brainstormed creative concepts if a deal came together. One early idea involved featuring Danhausen on the Sphere, leaning into his unique presentation for a visually striking campaign.
It would have been less “blink and you miss it” and more “you can’t miss it,” even from the cheap seats on the Strip.
However, as noted by WrestleVotes, no agreement has been finalized. The primary hurdle appears to be the significant cost associated with advertising on the Sphere. This has reportedly stalled progress on the concept.
WWE’s interest in the venue aligns with its broader push to make WrestleMania week feel larger than life. The company is already set to host WrestleMania 42 on April 18 and 19 at Allegiant Stadium. Moreover, they host multiple fan-focused events across Las Vegas.
While the Sphere concept remains unresolved, the fact that it was even considered shows how far WWE is willing to go to make WrestleMania week stand out. For now, the idea may be on the shelf. However, like any good storyline, it could always make a surprise return when least expected.
