WWE‘s Cody Rhodes appeared in full costume as Guile at CinemaCon for the Street Fighter trailer reveal.
The cast of the upcoming Street Fighter movie appeared at CinemaCon on Wednesday to reveal the official trailer. Reigning Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes plays Guile in the film, and he showed up in full costume for the event and cut a hilarious promo. Brandon Davis captured the footage of Rhodes being in character for the appearance.
“Lot of tough guys out there, huh? Yeah, what about you, pretty boy? You guys want to be in this tournament? Well, if you believe in yourself and you believe in freedom, drinking milk, you can all be in this tournament,” Cody Rhodes said. “Military budget’s down. I’m thankful for the gig. That’s M. Bison right there. Yeah. You seen the hats he’s worn in this movie? Top notch, first class beaver skin baby. Y’all ready for this trailer? No, no, I need to hear it. Y’all want to see this trailer?”
Directed by Kitao Sakurai, Street Fighter features an ensemble cast, including Cody Rhodes, Roman Reigns, Noah Centineo, Andrew Koji, 50 Cent, and Jason Momoa. The movie is set to hit the screens on October 16, 2026.
The synopsis of the movie reads:
“Set in 1993, estranged Street Fighters Ryu (Andrew Koji) and Ken Masters (Noah Centineo) are thrown back into combat when the mysterious Chun-Li (Callina Liang) recruits them for the next World Warrior Tournament: a brutal clash of fists, fate, and fury,” reads the official synopsis. “But behind this battle royale lies a deadly conspiracy that forces them to face off against each other and the demons of their past. And if they don’t, it’s GAME OVER!”
