WATCH: AEW Star Has Shirt Ripped After Partner Thought She Was In Gear

The May 6 episode of AEW Dynamite featured a wild moment when Mina Shirakawa accidentally ripped open Harley Cameron’s shirt during a pre-match pep talk.

The segment happened during a backstage interview with Renee Paquette. Shirakawa was trying to motivate Cameron before their tag team match against Hikaru Shida and Kris Statlander.

Mina Shirakawa apologized after thinking Harley Cameron was already in gear

Shirakawa told Cameron to stop worrying about everyone else and focus on winning the match.

“Harley, wake up! What Shida has done to Stat and us is not good. Can you trust Stat? I hope so. But tonight, beyond friends, beyond how you feel, we have a match to win!” Mina said.

She then reminded Cameron about her success in AEW. “Harley, you are one of the first ever tag team champions. So stop looking out there! Look it in here!”

As Shirakawa said that, she dramatically ripped Harley’s shirt open to hype her up. The problem was that Shirakawa thought Cameron already had her wrestling gear on underneath. But she was not!

Shirakawa was visibly shocked and immediately apologized. “Oh no, I’m sorry! I thought you had your gear on,” she said.

Harley Cameron, however, shook it off and stayed fully in character. “I’m not. But I don’t care! Shida, Stat, the wrath is back tonight, and you’re gonna feel it!” she responded, all hyped up.

Later on, the actual match delivered some good action.

Statlander started strong by using her power against Shirakawa early on. When Cameron got tagged in, she brought in her athleticism.

Shida and Shirakawa then exchanged heavy strikes before Cameron got the hot tag and nearly scored a huge win for her team. At one point, Shirakawa and Cameron looked close to victory after hitting a double-team sequence, but Shida broke up the pin just in time.

The ending turned chaotic when Statlander accidentally got hit by a knee strike meant for someone else. Cameron kept fighting with a neckbreaker and roundhouse kick combo, but eventually the numbers game caught up to her.

In the end, Shida hit her Falcon Arrow on Cameron while Statlander stopped any interference, giving their team the win.
