Danhausen crashed ESPN SportsCenter ahead of WWE Backlash.
Danhausen made a surprise appearance during a recent edition of SportsCenter, interrupting the hosts while they were preparing to present the show’s “Top Plays” segment.
The WWE star playfully introduced himself to the hosts before taking over the segment entirely. Rather than allowing the anchors to continue, Danhausen insisted on presenting the highlights himself while also hyping up his upcoming Backlash appearance.
During the segment, Danhausen ran through several sports highlights in his trademark comedic style. He reacted to Victor Wembanyama’s put-back slam during the San Antonio Spurs’ victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves, praised Dansby Swanson for making back-to-back defensive plays in the Chicago Cubs’ win over the Atlanta Braves, and reacted to Kirby Dach scoring a highlight-reel goal in the matchup between the Montreal Canadiens and the Buffalo Sabres.
The segment concluded with Danhausen airing a “bonus play” featuring footage of him crashing WrestleMania 42 and attacking The Miz during his appearance alongside John Cena.
“Now, here comes the best one. There it is, the ‘Bonus Play!’ Oh, wow! I crashed The Miz’s WrestleMania moment. Groin punch right there! My best friend John Cena in the background with the ‘You Can’t Curse Me’ — he bestowed it upon Danhausen, who is the new GOAT. Great! And oh — here it comes! The decimate, eviscerate, and annihilate The Miz! Yes, he’s cursed. And if you do not watch Backlash this weekend, you are cursed!”
Danhausen is set to team with a mystery partner against The Miz and Kit Wilson this Saturday at WWE Backlash. Speaking of The Miz, the A-Lister recently addressed rumors about CM Punk potentially being in Danhausen’s corner.
