Elio LeFleur has provided a new update on his recovery process. A serious shoulder injury forced him out of action earlier this year.
While the former WWE Speed Champion still faces a lengthy road back to the ring, his latest comments suggest progress is steadily being made behind the scenes.
LeFleur recently posted training footage on social media alongside a message detailing his rehabilitation schedule. According to the NXT star, he currently spends two hours per day working through rehab sessions for recovery after surgery.
“5 weeks till surgery. 5 rehab a week, 2h everyday. Slowly but surely,” LeFleur wrote (via X).
The update comes roughly five weeks after LeFleur suffered a significant shoulder injury during an NXT live event in Lakeland, Florida.
The injury occurred during an eight-man tag match after an awkward landing from a turnbuckle spot forced officials to stop the contest and rule it a no-contest.
Medical evaluations later confirmed that LeFleur suffered a torn labrum along with substantial ligament damage in his shoulder.
Elio LeFleur’s WWE NXT push came to a screeching halt by injury
Before the injury, LeFleur — previously known on the independent scene as Aigle Blanc — had quickly become one of the standout rising names on WWE NXT.
The “French Luchador” was in the middle of a strong rookie push. He captured the WWE Men’s Speed Championship in under 90 seconds during a triple threat match against Jasper Troy and Eli Knight.
Because of the injury and six-month recovery timeline, LeFleur had to vacate the championship after holding it for only 34 days.
WWE also adjusted ongoing storylines to explain his absence from television. In one backstage angle, both LeFleur and Knight were found to have been attacked before a scheduled tag team tournament match, allowing Los Americanos to take their place.
At this stage, there is still no confirmed date for LeFleur’s return to WWE programming. However, his latest rehab update suggests the recovery process continues moving in the right direction — even if the comeback trail remains a marathon rather than a sprint.
