WWE has announced some rare additions to its event schedule.
WWE announced on its official website the addition of 10 new live event dates for the upcoming Summer Tour from July 11 to August 30. The promotion had also previously announced several love events for its upcoming European Summer Tour, which will run through the end of June.
However, what makes these announcements special is that live events/house shows have lately become pretty rare in WWE. While the promotion hosts regular NXT live events, the last time a main roster show took place was on February 14 in Lubbock, Texas. Prior to that, the last main roster non-televised event was a January 4 stop in Bridgeport, Connecticut. This was the last event on the post-Christmas WWE Live Holiday Tour 2025.
Unlike the old days, WWE currently hosts fewer live events and offers wrestlers a reduced workload and less time on the road. Some cities on the list, including Allentown, PA, and Las Cruces, New Mexico, will host their first WWE live events in more than three years.
However, that also has its cons, as it was the same argument the promotion made to get some of the talent to take significant pay cuts.
