WWE Star The Miz Reveals His Secret To Staying In Shape And Avoiding Injury At 45

The Miz still looks like a WWE Superstar, even if he doesn’t like working out.

Muscle & Fitness recently spoke with The Miz about his workout routine and staying in Superstar shape. Miz admitted that he doesn’t like being in the gym, so he tries to find more interesting ways to work out.

“A lot of people say they are always in the gym, but I have better things on my mind that I can think of doing,” Miz shared. “So, I’m always a big person as far as finding the tools you can utilize, that’ll allow you to be the best version of yourself.”

The Miz outlined his diet, which consists of 2,600 calories. He consumes one gram of protein per pound of body weight, and mixes in incline treadmills and Floss Bands for exercise.

“It’s basically a rubber band, and you wrap it around your leg really tight, and then stretch,” Miz said, explaining what a Floss Band is. “I do squats in them. And that gets my legs ready to go. I do flossing before and after my workouts, and I’ve found this has helped a lot with recovery, too.”

The Miz recommends cold plunges to avoid injuries

Aside from a torn ACL in 2021, The Miz has mostly stayed injury-free for most of his WWE career. He recommended cold plunges as a way to build your endurance and avoid injuries.

“I would always recommend cold plunges, you’re gonna need it, and maybe get into the sauna right after,” he said. “That is the biggest recovery tool that I’ve been using, as a WWE superstar.”
