Our WWE NXT results for tonight include Tatum Paxley defending the NXT Women’s North American Championship against Lizzy Rain, Tristan Angels debuting, Tate Wilder taking on Keanu Carver, DarkState challenging The Vanity Project for the NXT Tag Team Championships, and Tony D’Angelo and Myles Borne teaming up against Mason Rook and Kam Hendrix. Here’s our review and grades for tonight’s show, live from the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida.

WWE NXT Results:
Tony D’Angelo and Myles Borne vs. Mason Rook and Kam Hendrix
After a bit of back-and-forth, Tavion Heights tries to help Borne and accidentally hits Borne. Hendrix gets a blind tag before Rook hits his finish on Borne. Hendrix slides in and steals the pin for the win.
Winners- Mason Rook and Kam Hendrix
Grade: B
Good opener. Rook may have something, despite his unconventional look. Need to see more of Hendrix to get a feel of what his ceiling may be, but this writer sees the vision of putting him on NXT proper. Sink or swim.
Romeo Moreno w/Noam Dar vs. Tristan Angels
Angels is in control early, working over Moreno in the corner. Shiloh Hill appears in the crowd to watch the match. Angels gets distracted by Hill, and gets sent out of the ring. Moreno lands a dive. After the break, Moreno lands a flurry. Angels gets the win after a standing Knee drop.
Winner- Tristan Angels
Grade: B-
Good debut for both men. Honestly, feel we got more of a feel for Moreno than the Angels. Considering Angels is who’s supposed to be featured here, this match was unbalanced when it comes to the amount of offense given. Either way, both these superstars will be ones to watch in the new NXT landscape.
NXT Women’s North American Championship Match | Tatum Paxley (c) vs. Lizzy Rain
After a stiff back-and-forth contest, Paxley surprises Rain with a Cemetery drive after a series of reversals. Paxley pins Rain.
Winner and STILL Women’s North American Champion, Tatum Paxley!
Grade: B
Great match. Rain is going to have gold in short order in NXT. It’s still Paxley’s time, but it may not be for much longer.
Tate Wilder vs. Keanu Carver
Wilder manages a long flurry of offense, but Carver ends him with a powerslam.
Winner- Keanu Carver
Grade: C+
Wilder got entirely too much offense in this one. Carver is a monster. Let him be a monster.
NXT Tag Team Championship Match | The Vanity Project (Brad Baylor and Ricky Smokes) (c) vs. DarkState (Dion Lennox and Saquon Shugars)
Lennox and Shugars attack Vanity Project during their entrance. DarkState control much of the match. After Lennox hits his finish, Shugars dives off the top for an elbow drop. Lennox narrowly avoids getting crushed. In the confusion, Shugars gets rolled up for a three count.
Winners and STILL NXT Tag Team Champions, The Vanity Project!
After the match, DarkState turns on Shugars and leaves him laid out.
Grade: B
Fun match. Happy to finally see a resolution to the DarkState tension. Shugars being the odd man out is telling, and makes this writer think WWE has high hopes for Shugars as a singles.
