The May 19 episode of WWE NXT featured a segment from rising star Kelani Jordan, who confidently claimed she is better than several women recently called up to WWE’s main roster.
During her in-ring promo, Jordan marched to the ring and questioned why she keeps getting overlooked despite etching her status as one of NXT’s fastest-rising homegrown stars. She said she has already proven herself better than most of the division.
Kelani Jordan claims she’s better than Sol Ruca, Blake Monroe, and Fatal Influence
Kelani Jordan said she is better than stars like Sol Ruca, Blake Monroe, and even the members of Fatal Influence. She also demanded a shot at the NXT Women’s Championship.
“I’m better than all those women they called up to RAW and SmackDown. I am better than Fatal Influence, I’m better than Blake Monroe, I’m better than Sol Ruc, I am better than any woman sitting in the back right now, I am!” Jordan proclaimed.
Jordan also pointed out that she is the only woman to make current NXT Women’s Champion, Lola Vice, tap out.
“I am the only woman to make Lola Vice tap out. Not just pin her, not catch her on a bad night, but I made our current NXT Women’s Champion tap out. That alone should have put me in the front of the line a long time ago,” she said.
Jordan also added that she has never received a title shot for the NXT Women’s Championship, although people have always seen “potential” in her.
“The crazy thing is…watch this- I have never even gotten a chance to go for the NXT Women’s Championship. Never! Instead, I have to sit back and watch all these women who aren’t half as athletic, half as gifted, half as complete as I am fumble opportunities left and right. People love to call words like ‘potential’ when it comes to me, but ‘potential’ was for other girls who were still trying to figure it out, and I have already done that,” she said.
However, the segment took a turn and became chaotic when many rivals interrupted her.
Izzi Dame came out first and accused Kelani Jordan of trying to skip ahead in the title picture. Soon after, Lola Vice appeared and reminded everyone that she is still the champion. Vice dismissed Jordan’s claims and warned both women that she could handle them. Things got more heated when Kendal Grey interrupted.
The segment finally exploded into a brawl when Wren Sinclair attacked Jordan with a crutch.
