WWE Veteran Threatened to Drive His Truck Through a Wall to Catch Fugitive

Former WWE star Steve Blackman earned a reputation as one of the toughest people in the locker room during his wrestling days. Years after leaving WWE, it seems that same tough mindset has helped him succeed as a bail bondsman.

Speaking on the Stories of Briscoe and Bradshaw podcast, Blackman shared a couple of incredible stories from his 18 years working in the bail bonds business in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.

Steve Blackman reveals the extreme measures he used to catch bail jumpers

One of Blackman’s most interesting stories involved a bail jumper who had managed to avoid capture for quite some time. After normal methods failed, Blackman and his team came up with a different plan.

Blackman said that someone working with him created a fake online profile and pretended to be a woman. Over the course of a week, they built a connection with the fugitive. Eventually, they convinced him to agree to a face-to-face meeting.

Once the meeting was arranged, Blackman’s team set up around the area and waited. The former WWE star sprinted toward the man and pinned him against a garage door before he could escape.

The funniest part came after the arrest. Blackman said the fugitive admitted he actually thought the situation might be a setup, but after talking to the fake profile, he decided to take the chance anyway.

Blackman’s second story was even more unbelievable.

He was trying to track down a 525-pound man who had skipped court after being released on bond. Blackman said that nobody else wanted to take the case, so he personally stepped in and helped get the man out of jail.

But soon after, the man disappeared.

After days of searching, Blackman finally figured out where he was hiding. He and his team surrounded the apartment building.

Blackman reminded the fugitive that he was the only person willing to help him in the first place. After confirming the man was standing inside his apartment, Blackman warned him that he was ready to drive his truck through the front wall if he didn’t come out.

“I’m like, ‘Dude, you’re kidding me, right? Nobody would get you out but me. Because I’ve known, you know, a bunch of your friends and family.’ I said, ‘I’m the only person who got you out and you’re going to screw me by not going to court?’ I said, ‘Are you standing right inside the door there at this apartment?’ He goes, ‘Yes.’ I said, ‘Okay, get the f out of the way, because I’m going to drive my truck straight through that front door and I’m going to haul your ass out of there.’ I said, ‘I’m coming in one minute. I’m going to drive right through the wall.’”

However, instead of arguing or running, the man asked for a pizza. “We got him a pizza. He came along,” Blackman said.

Blackman still runs his bail bonds business in Harrisburg. Moreover, he revealed that being friendly with the local community helps him track down many of the people he is looking for.
