AEW Dynamite Ends With Unusual Pride Month Message

AEW Dynamite ended with an unexpected message this week as commentator Excalibur used the show’s final moments to show support for Pride Month. The sign-off got fans talking online, with many praising AEW for openly supporting the LGBTQ+ community.

As the June 3, 2026 episode of Dynamite came to a close, Excalibur changed AEW’s usual ending line and said, “Fix your hearts or die. This is All Elite Wrestling!”

Excalibur references iconic Twin Peaks quote to support LGBTQ+ community

The phrase “Fix your hearts or die” comes from the 2017 series Twin Peaks: The Return. In the show, the late filmmaker and actor David Lynch played FBI Regional Bureau Chief Gordon Cole. During one scene, Cole defended his transgender colleague Denise Bryson, played by David Duchovny.

Cole said, “When you became Denise, I told all of your colleagues, those clown comics, to fix their hearts or die.”

Over the years, the quote has become well known and is often viewed as a message against prejudice and intolerance. Many people see it as a call for acceptance and support for transgender people and the wider LGBTQ+ community.

By using the quote in AEW’s closing sign-off, Excalibur turned a familiar ending into a clear message of support during Pride Month.

The moment quickly spread across social media. Many praised Excalibur for delivering a message that felt more meaningful than a standard corporate statement.

Fans pointed out the quote’s connection to supporting transgender people and applauded AEW for making the statement on live TV rather than limiting it to a social media post.

The moment also fits with AEW’s broader support for the LGBTQ+ community. The company has already shared Pride Month messages across its social media platforms and continues to feature several LGBTQ+ performers on its roster.
