Last night on AEW Dynamite, The Don Callis Family gained a member and lost some teeth.
Following his victory over DK Vandu on Dynamite, Andrade El Idolo called out reigning AEW World Champion MJF, questioning if he could beat him in the wrestling ring. This cued the arrival of Don Callis and Jake Doyle, who then joined Andrade in the squared circle to announce the newest member of the Don Callis Family stable: TNT Champion Kevin Knight.
As commentary noted, Callis himself appeared “really excited” about the development, so much so that his teeth actually fell out and landed on the ring mat mid-sentence.
It looks like Callis tried to catch his “dental flipper” (as Mick Foley has referred to it) as it fell out of his mouth. Fans also wasted little time pointing out the mishap on social media.
“Broooooo….ahahahahah His teeth came out,” one viewer wrote.
Now officially part of the Don Callis Family, Knight went on to successfully defend his TNT Championship against his former tag team partner “Speedball” Mike Bailey in the same broadcast. In a post-match promo, Knight then revealed his reason for joining the Don Callis Family: to get to the top of AEW, specifically the AEW World Championship.
According to Knight, that means he is now waiting on MJF, who retained the respective title over Rush earlier in the night. In that bout, MJF reportedly hyperextended his knee, making his immediate future now uncertain.
