WWE has changed the date for Money in the Bank once again. The premium live event now takes place on October 10 in New Orleans. It marks the third scheduled date for the show. A new report has now revealed why WWE made the change.
WWE originally scheduled Money in the Bank for August 29. The company later moved it to September 6. Now, WWE has pushed the event back once more. The show is currently set for October 10.
Following the announcement, WWE also confirmed a Sunday Night’s Main Event broadcast for September 6 in Atlanta. That date was previously reserved for Money in the Bank in New Orleans. The latest change adds another twist for New Orleans hosting WWE PLEs.
The city has already experienced major WWE scheduling changes. Earlier this year, WWE announced New Orleans as the host city for WrestleMania 42. Later, the company moved the event to Las Vegas.
Report reveals why WWE moved Money in the Bank again
Now, a report from Fightful Select sheds light on the latest Money in the Bank adjustment. According to the report, WWE changed the date because of a scheduling issue involving its broadcast partners.
The report notes that company officials have discussed the move internally for more than a month. Several people within WWE were already aware of the change.
“WWE sources claimed to @FightfulSelect that the Money in the Bank date change was made because of a scheduling matter with broadcast partners. The move has been planned for well over a month, and known by several within the company.”
For now, Money in the Bank remains scheduled for October 10. It will be interesting to see whether the date finally stays in place after multiple changes.
