WWE‘s Cody Rhodes and Triple H appeared alongside Robert F. Kennedy Jr. in an event restoring the Presidential Fitness Test.
During this week’s episode of RAW, the company revealed that Cody Rhodes, Charlotte Flair, Rey Mysterio, and Austin Theory were among the WWE Superstars who accompanied Triple H to join U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. at the Boys & Girls Club of Atlantic City. The event officially kicked off the return of the Presidential Fitness Test and the launch of GetActive.gov/kids.
The former Undisputed WWE Champion posted pictures from the event on X/Twitter, showing him addressing the gathering, posing with RFK Jr. and Triple H, and planking with children. Fans had mixed reactions to the post, with some praising the initiative and others accusing Cody Rhodes of aligning himself with right-wing politics.
The official press release from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services about the event read, “Today’s event featured WWE Superstars, including Paul Levesque, better known as ‘Triple H,’ who was appointed Vice Chair of the President’s Council on Sports, Fitness, and Nutrition. Byron Saxton served as emcee, and Cody Rhodes and Charlotte Flair joined students in the fitness demonstrations.”
Cody Rhodes lost the Undisputed WWE Championship to Sami Zayn in a match that also featured Gunther at Night of Champions this past Saturday. However, he has received a rematch for the title after defeating Jey Uso in a No.1 contender’s match on SmackDown. The promotion taped the show after RAW last night and will air in its usual timeslot on Friday night.
