Netflix Edits Bron Breakker’s Bloody WWE Night of Champions Moment

Netflix has made an unusual edit to one of the biggest moments from WWE Night of Champions. During the replay of Bron Breakker’s steel cage match, the streaming platform blurred out his bloody moment before he went for his running spear.

The edit has also sparked comparisons with Netflix’s own content. The platform streams plenty of movies and TV shows featuring graphic violence and mature scenes, leaving many fans wondering why a wrestling match needed such heavy censorship.

Netflix’s censorship may have drawn more attention than the blood

Breakker was busted open during his brutal steel cage match against Seth Rollins. The cut happened after Rollins hit a superplex from the top of the cage, sending Breakker crashing through a table. While the blood was visible during the live broadcast, fans noticed something very different when watching the replay on Netflix.

Instead of switching to black-and-white, which WWE has used before to hide blood, or cutting away from the shot, Netflix blurred Breakker’s entire head while the match continued. The edit made the scene look even stranger.

Fans reacted to the unusual edit. Many questioned why such a large blur was needed, saying it actually drew more attention to the moment instead of hiding the blood.

One fan even called it the “stupidest things you’ll see today.”

So far, it’s still unclear whether the blur was Netflix’s decision, a regional requirement, or part of WWE’s content guidelines.

The match between Seth Rollins and Bron Breakker was meant to be a brutal ending to their rivalry, and it certainly lived up to that expectation. Both men utilized the steel cage to inflict maximum damage. They battled with chairs, tables, and even the cage door to gain an edge throughout the contest.

The biggest moment came when Rollins delivered the superplex from the top of the cage, which left Breakker bleeding. Even after the injury, Breakker kept fighting until Rollins finally executed a top-rope Stomp to pick up the win.
