According to PWInsider, Rey Mysterio has signed his WWE deal finally. Rey Mysterio signed a two-year deal according to reports. Rey had been trying to work out an 18-month deal but this report suggests he did get a clause inserted into the contract that will allow him to give his notice at 18 months should he still desire to do so. The only thing left to figure out is where Rey will fit into WWE storylines. Not that long ago, Rey told Bill Apter:
We’ve got to make sure that we keep in mind that rumors will always be rumors. There’s nothing locked in. There’s nothing secure that says that I’m going back. I’m doing what I’m doing right now. I’m enjoying my independent wrestling life. I get to choose and pick when I want to wrestle, where I want to wrestle. If I want matches like he just mentioned vs Kenny [Omega] I’m gonna make them happen, if possible. There’s no insurance or security right now that I’m going back. I’ll tell you what though, if the time is right and there’s an agreement on both ends, meaning WWE and myself, and there’s an offer on the table, I wouldn’t say no, if it is correct – if it was the right one; but, in the meantime I’m enjoying my liberty out here as an independent wrestler.”
