The Three Count: AEW Revolution Delivered Blasts From The Past, Thrilling Matches, And Much More

Sunday Night’s Show Delivered Excellent Matches From Start To Finish

It’d be practically impossible to highlight every match, but the point applies to each one of them. Starting with Eddie Kingston’s sanctioned fight with Chris Jericho, which opened the show, the entire card delivered on Sunday. From hard-hitting encounters like Kingston’s win over Jericho and the fast-paced thrill ride in the three-way tag title bout to the chaotic ladder match and Punk’s bloodbath with MJF, Revolution was a variety show in the best way. There was something for everyone all night long; even if you don’t like bloody wrestling, several bouts still featured AEW’s brand of fast-paced in-ring action.

This heart-pounding competition was on full display in the aforementioned tag title bout. The Young Bucks reminded everyone just how “elite” they are, while reDRagon had a coming-out party in their first tag team match as a duo in AEW. Seeing Kyle O’Reilly and Bobby Fish do what they do best was another callback to NXT’s glory days and erased any doubt that they can hang with AEW’s best. Likewise, Jurassic Express, the champions, were underdogs heading into this defense, given the respective resumes of the Bucks and reDRagon, but they pulled off the statement victory. In doing so, they cemented their spot as a top team in AEW’s loaded division. This bout was a roller coaster from the start, and it can easily be considered one of the highlights on a show that was full ofbangers.
