Mylo: Mercedes Moné Could Be Legitimate Challenger For ‘Queen of Indies’ Title

Could “The CEO” be in the running for the “Queen of Indies” now?

West Coast Pro and Pro Wrestling Revolution recently partnered up to complete an important task: crowning the Queen of the independent circuit. As such, the two joined up to host the “Queen of Indies” event on Saturday, May 13, featuring an eight-woman tournament to determine who would hold the prestigious title. That tournament was ultimately won by “The Russian Dynamite” Masha Slamovich, but according to “Mac Daddy” Mylo, a few other names could be legitimate challengers to the title.

Speaking with WrestleZone‘s own Ella Jay, Mylo was asked who else she thinks presents a compelling case to be called the Queen of Indies. “I know Viva Van’s been killing it, so I’m definitely going to throw her name in there. I think that [she] would for sure be a good competitor,” Mylo said, referring to the woman who holds the nickname of “The Face of the West.”

In addition to Viva Van, Mylo believes “The CEO” Mercedes Moné has a strong resume to back her up as she explores life beyond WWE. Coming up this weekend, Moné will compete in a global tournament to determine the inaugural NJPW STRONG Women’s Champion at NJPW Resurgence.

“It’s going to be so amazing, and I can’t wait to see that. [There’s] so much women’s wrestling going on right now, it’s such a great time to be in this business. I am so appreciative and so grateful. And all these bangers that are about to come out right before summer, too. What a good time, huh?” Mylo said.

The “Mac Daddy” continued on to give her take on Moné’s current run in NJPW and STARDOM. “I love it. One thing I’ve always loved about her is her confidence and how she just she knows what she’s doing and she just goes out there with 100% all the time. That’s something I’ve always appreciated in her,” Mylo said. “She’s 100% one of my favorites, someone who I’ve looked up to and was like, ‘Whoa, I want to be like her.'”

When presented with the thought of wrestling Moné one-on-one, Mylo said she would “happily retire” after an opportunity like that.
