Women’s Wrestling Wrap-Up: Five-Way Match Set For WWE Crown Jewel, Jade Cargill Makes Her Rounds In WWE, Ruthie Jay Interview

Rhea Ripley will defend her Women’s World Championship in a five-way match at WWE Crown Jewel. Jade Cargill makes her rounds in the WWE locker rooms. Ruthie Jay speaks with WrestleZone, and more! Let’s break it down in this week’s edition of Women’s Wrestling Wrap-Up!

Five-Way Women’s World Title Match Confirmed For WWE Crown Jewel

The WWE RAW women’s division is in a state of chaos right now.

During Monday’s episode of RAW, Rhea Ripley was slated to take on Shayna Baszler in singles competition. In the midst of the action, though, Nia Jax walked down to ringside. Before Jax could enter the ring, she was cut off by Raquel Rodriguez, whom Jax had recently screwed out of her shot for the WWE Women’s World Championship. After trading strikes with Rodriguez, Jax stumbled back toward the barricade, where she was greeted by a senton from Zoey Stark. This move ignited an intense brawl at ringside, which later trickled into the ring.

Unfortunately for Ripley, the chaos continued, as Stark delivered a boot to her face, causing the referee to call for the bell. Once Ripley grabbed a hold of Stark, she launched her into Shayna Baszler, prompting Nia Jax to step into the ring. After Ripley dodged a forearm strike from Jax, Stark nailed Jax with a kick, sending her straight into a headbutt from Ripley.

Following the conclusion of this brawl, WWE RAW General Manager Adam Pearce informed Rhea Ripley that she’d be defending her WWE Women’s World Championship in a fatal five-way match at Crown Jewel on November 4. There, Ripley will contend with Nia Jax, Shayna Baszler, Zoey Stark, and Raquel Rodriguez.

Jade Cargill Makes Her Rounds In WWE

Jade Cargill has already made her presence felt within WWE.

Shortly after announcing that Cargill had signed, WWE invited Cargill to attend its Fastlane PLE, which took place on October 7. There, Cargill was greeted by WWE CCO Paul “Triple H” Levesque.

Following her appearance on the WWE Fastlane pre-show, Cargill arrived at WWE NXT last week, receiving a warm welcome from Senior Vice President of Talent Development Creative Shawn Michaels. During that show, Cargill got the chance to witness a singles match between Asuka and Roxanne Perez, along with another opening-round matchup in the NXT Women’s Breakout Tournament. In making a trip to NXT, some WWE fans believed Cargill might have been looking to make the developmental brand her home, but three days later, it became clear that Cargill was continuing to explore her options.

Last Friday, Cargill paid a visit to SmackDown with the accompaniment of Triple H. Cargill was presumably headed to meet the new SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis. Cargill then came face-to-face with 14-time women’s champion Charlotte Flair.

Three days after her stand-off with “The Queen,” Jade Cargill headed to WWE RAW, where she encountered “The Man” Becky Lynch. Upon their meeting, Cargill took special note of Lynch’s NXT Women’s Championship, which Lynch responded to by telling Cargill to “get in line.”

“The Eradicator” On Jade Cargill

Jade Cargill has yet to meet WWE Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley. However, “The Eradicator” spoke about Cargill’s arrival during a recent interview with Sporting News Australia.

“I’m very excited to see what she brings to WWE,” Ripley said. “I really am. Like you said, she’s a big name, and a lot of people are watching and waiting for her debut. We don’t know which brand she’s gonna be on yet. It could be Raw, it could be SmackDown, it could be NXT. No one really knows exactly what’s going on.”

“If it is RAW, I mean, that’s my show. Mami runs Raw. The Judgment Day, we run RAW. So if Jade wants to come to my brand, then I would love to step in the ring with her and show her exactly why Mami is always on top.”

Despite her trips to all three of WWE’s brands, it’s currently unclear which one Cargill will be assigned to.
