Pinkbox Doughnuts & Love Paradise Top Las Vegas Eateries, According To Gypsy Mac & Bryn Thorne

With WWE WrestleMania 41 coming to Las Vegas, WrestleZone created a guide of places to eat and drink, sights to see and stay, and games to play. To expand upon that, WrestleZone’s Ella Jay recently spoke with two independent wrestlers familiar with the area — Bryn Thorne and Gypsy Mac — to get the inside scoop on Sin City’s best eateries.

According to Thorne, the most vital stop is the 24-hour Pinkbox Doughnuts shops located on Rampart Blvd and Sunset Rd. Thorne also recommends Houston TX Hot Chicken, located on South Main Street.

“First and foremost, you cannot go to Las Vegas without going to Pinkbox,” Thorne said. “That’s a doughnut place. It’s open 24/7, so there’s no excuse. Their donuts do go crazy. I’m a big doughnut fan when I have them and so when I go to Vegas I always have to get Pinkbox. Then there’s this chicken place [Houston TX Hot Chicken] right by Swan Dive which is where PrideStyle [Wrestling] and many other wrestling shows are going to be running Mania weekend. That was phenomenal. Last I was there, it was fantastic.”

When asked about doughnuts choices at Pinkbox, Thorne noted that it is perhaps best known for Pooh, a sweet treat shaped like a poop emoji (actually a glazed chocolate cake topped with chocolate buttercream, chocolate icing, and candy decor). More personally, Thorne prefers the strawberry and Gimme S’more doughnuts.

“The iconic one that they have there is this poop donut and it’s literally almost like the poop emoji. It’s funny it’s got like little eyes and stuff, but my go-to is their strawberry one, which is just glazed whipped cream and the strawberries in it. Simple,” Thorne said. “I’ve noticed I used to go overkill, and then just going back to basic simple stuff is what you can actually tolerate as a human. It’s not too sweet and overbearing. S’mores, I am a huge s’mores fan. That’s like my favorite thing ever, so I love a s’mores donut.”

Thorne, a native of Phoenix, will return to Vegas this weekend for appearances at GrapHouse, PrideStyle Inclusive Pro Wrestling, and Circle 6.

Gypsy Mac Shares Her Sweet And Savory Selections

Much like Thorne, Gypsy Mac attests to the delicious sweetness of Pinkbox Doughnuts. For a more savory experience, Mac recommends Love Paradise, a Japanese restaurant located on S Pecos Road.

“My favorite sushi place is called Love Paradise and it’s actually like maybe 10 minutes from the FSW Arena. I really like to get sushi there,” Mac said. “I do love Pinkbox Doughnuts, definitely. There’s so many locations too. There’s one actually like 15 minutes from FSW, but there’s a lot of different locations. They need to put one in the airport, but I love Pinkbox, highly recommend. So many fun doughnuts.

“I eat Taco Bell all the time,” she added. “There’s places I want to go check out [myself]. There’s this place called Stay Tuned and it’s like a 90s-themed burger joint. It looks like it’s stuck in Nickelodeon in the early 2000s.”

Currently, Mac reigns as the Future Stars of Wrestling Women’s Champion. On April 20, FSW will host the Future Legends Women’s Tournament from the FSW Arena in Las Vegas. Elsewhere this weekend, Mac will appear at Winner’s Circle Pro Wrestling, PoderMania, Phase 1, and NTLL.
