Alexxis Falcon weighs in on RevPro High Stakes.
This weekend, WWE will host WrestleMania 41 from the city of Las Vegas. Across the pond, Revolution Pro Wrestling will run its High Shakes event from the Doncaster Dome in Doncaster, England on April 20, with a major title match on the card.
Following her win at AEW x NJPW Wrestle Dynasty, RevPro Undisputed British Women’s Champion Mercedes Mone will tackle her first title defense at High Stakes. Her challenger? Two-time PROGRESS Women’s Champion Kanji, who preceded this title match with victories over TNA’s Dani Luna and AEW’s Deonna Purrazzo.
Ahead of High Stakes, WrestleZone’s Ella Jay spoke with Alexxis Falcon, one of the UK’s hottest stars and a familiar foe of Kanji’s. According to Falcon, Mone vs. Kanji is guaranteed to be a “banger.” Moreover, it will be an opportunity to show Mercedes Mone, a regular in the USA-based All Elite Wrestling, what the British talent pool can bring to the table.
“I think [Kanji] is going to be giving Mercedes a run for her money, literally,” Falcon said. “Genuinely, I think that Kanji is hard hitting. Kanji is someone as well, where if you watch one of their matches and you think that it’s quiet, when the audience are quiet, and sometimes I think people go, ‘Oh no, the audience are quiet,’ Kanji is so, so comfortable in silence. And when you watch, not a single person is [looking down at their phone] Everyone is watching what Kanji is doing. Everyone is watching it.”
“She’s entertaining, but she’s like a f***ing killer,” Falcon added. “Honestly, them strikes give me PTSD from when I wrestled her. I think that she will be showing Mercedes just what the British girls are made of.”
Regarding Mone, now known as “The CEO,” Falcon noted that her simply grasping the RevPro Undisputed British Women’s Champion is “insane” in the best way.
“I just feel like someone like Mercedes Mone holding the RevPro Women’s Championship does nothing but elevate and it puts a spotlight on the women here in the UK. It puts the spotlight on RevPro. I just think that it’s absolutely fantastic,” Falcon said.
