Could a Survivor run be in Dream Girl Ellie‘s future?
In September 2023, Netflix debuted a docuseries, titled Wrestlers, following the behind-the-scenes workings of Ohio Valley Wrestling and its roster, which included Dream Girl Ellie. During a recent interview with WrestleZone’s Ella Jay, Ellie considered the possibility of taking part in another popular reality series, Survivor.
“Being outdoors and stuff, I’ll live. I’m from Florida,” she said. “I think from a strategical standpoint, I can gaslight these people well enough to be like, ‘Yo, this person said this about you. This person said this about you.’ Then when they come up to each other and be like, ‘Hey, I never said this.’ Be like, ‘Yes, you did. You literally told me,’ blah, blah, blah, and gaslight them into thinking that they actually said this and then make everyone else butt heads strategically. Yeah, from a strategic standpoint, I would actually be really good at Survivor.”
“Not that I’m toxic [in real life], by the way, because that sounded like I was super toxic,” she clarified, laughing. “Yeah, that’s [my alter ego]. I never said any of that.”
According to Ellie, Survivor was a staple in her household growing up as she and her family routinely watched it together on Wednesday nights, with The Biggest Loser viewing parties coming the night before. Currently, Survivor is in the midst of airing its 49th season on CBS. Fellow pro wrestlers John Morrison and Ashley Massaro competed in seasons 37 and 15, respectively.
“I think I’ll be good at the puzzle part. The athletic part, maybe,” Ellie said. “I don’t like running. I got bad knees, so we’ll see. But yeah, I think the strategic part I’d be good at.”
