Liv Morgan Punches Her Ticket To WWE WrestleMania 42

The ninth time was the charm for Liv Morgan last weekend.

With a WrestleMania title match of their choosing on the line, 30 women entered the 2026 Women’s Royal Rumble, emanating from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on January 31. Amongst the surprise entrants were a quartet of WWE NXT stars, a WWE Hall of Famer, and former WWE Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton.

Tag team partners Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss kicked off the match, clearly struggling with the concept of “every woman for themselves.” In an ironic twist, Flair did later eliminate Bliss by accident when she knocked Nia Jax off the apron, causing both “The Irresistible Force” and Bliss to fall to the floor. Flair herself went on to survive nearly one hour in the match before being eliminated by Lash Legend.

Alongside Flair, Legend emerged as a standout performer in the Women’s Royal Rumble, with additional eliminations to WWE Hall of Famers Nikki Bella and Brie Bella, Jordynne Grace, and IYO SKY boosting her profile. Legend eventually met her own demise at the hands of former WWE Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley.

In the final moments of the 67-minute over-the-top-rope match, Liv Morgan sent her Judgment Day stablemate Raquel Rodiguez crashing to the outside, leaving her, Stratton, and NXT star Sol Ruca as the last three standing. The action then moved to the apron, where Ruca attempted to nail Stratton with a Sol Snatcher. Mid-move, however, Stratton pushed Ruca to the floor for another elimination.

Before Stratton could further capitalize, Morgan dropped her with a modified Oblivion, causing Stratton to fall to the floor as well. Along with it, Morgan cemented herself as the winner of the 2026 Women’s Royal Rumble and a WrestleMania 42 title match.

As of this writing, Morgan has yet to select her grand stage opponent, though she has notably laid out the current WWE Women’s World Champion, Stephanie Vaquer, on WWE Raw.

WrestleMania 42 will take WWE to Las Vegas on April 18 and 19.

MegaBad Earn AEW Women’s Tag Title Shot

Next weekend, All Elite Wrestling will return to Australia for a pair of shows, including the spectacle that is Grand Slam. This year, AEW Grand Slam: Australia will emanate from the city of Sydney, with a major title match recently added.

On Wednesday’s edition of AEW Dynamite, MegaBad (Megan Bayne and Penelope Ford) took the Babes of Wrath (Willow Nightingale and Harley Cameron) in an AEW Women’s World Tag Team Championship eliminator match. Unlike most eliminator bouts, this one resulted in a victory for the non-champions.

At one point, Nightingale seemed on the verge of a win when she dropped Bayne with a spinebuster. Bayne, however, kicked out. Ford then sent Cameron crashing into the corner, leaving Nightingale alone for Bayne to launch Ford into her for a cutter. Continuing the tandem offense, Bayne hoisted Cameron onto her shoulders as Ford leapt off the top for a match-winning Doomsday Device.

With their Dynamite victory, Bayne and Ford are now in line for an AEW Women’s Tag Team Championship match against Nightingale and Cameron at Grand Slam Australia. It will mark the pair’s first time challenging for the titles.

Elsewhere at Grand Slam Australia, former AEW Women’s Champion Toni Storm will team with Orange Cassidy in a hair vs. hair match against the Death Riders’ Marina Shafir and Wheeler Yuta. On Dynamite, Storm and Cassidy defeated Jordan Oasis and Brittnie Brooks in a mixed tag bout.

Next week on Dynamite in Ontario, California, Kris Statlander will defend her AEW Women’s Championship against Thekla of the Triangle of Madness. The added stipulation to their match remains a mystery.
