Love is in the air as the people across the world celebrate Valentine’s Day.
In the world of professional wrestling, a number of powerful couples (both real-life and storyline) have emerged, and even sometimes brought their chemistry to the ring. Which ones are the true king and queen, though?
WrestleZone’s Ella Jay recently caught up with former ROH Women’s Television Champion Billie Starkz and former TNA Knockouts Tag Team Champion Killer Kelly to answer this question. For Starkz, three pairs currently stand out.
“Right now, I’m not going to lie, [my favorite couple] is Megan [Bayne] and Joey [Janela],” she said. “I think they’re one of like the oddest but cutest couples together. And I can’t lie, Athena and Matt [Palmer] are super cute together. They’re like a old married couple and it’s very wholesome.
“There’s so many people. Everett Connors and Charli Evans. That is like one of my favorite love stories. I think there’s still so many parts of the story that people don’t understand. This man really started it over a, ‘Hey, I think you’re cute’ in a DM, and then she flew here. They’re married. They’re a true Wattpad story.”
Killer Kelly Loves Killer Goat & Two WWE Couples
Alongside her fiancé Myron Reed, Killer Kelly has established herself as one-half of Killer Goat, a tag team to be reckoned with on the indies. Beside Killer Goat, Kelly noted that she’s fond of two WWE couples.
“Oh my God, I love Lash [Legend] and Trick [Williams]. I love them together. I love them,” she said. “My absolute favorite couple ever was Bianca [Belair] and Montez [Ford], but now they’re like neck and neck. They’re like so f***ing cool. I love seeing them together. They’re amazing. I love Bianca and Montez. And of course, I love me and Myron. I love Killer Goats. Killer Goat is amazing, come on now.”
Last October, Kelly and Reed publicly announced their engagement. According to Kelly, the proposal took place in the midst of a Halloween decoration tour around their homebase of Louisville, Kentucky.
“Myron took me to see Halloween decorations,” she said. “We have streets here in Louisville that they go all in on Halloween. So he took me there and then he just popped the question. We took some photos there. I posted them some photos, but yeah, it was cute. It was really cute.”
