In late 2015, The Revival dethroned The Vaudevillains to become the NXT Tag Team Champions. They would go on to have an extremely dominant run, defending the title against NXT’s top teams. American Alpha began to burst on the scene and they became the clear fan favorite team of Full Sail University.
Their rise to the top would see them pick up win after win each week, and all of this led them to a clash with The Revival at WrestleMania 32 weekend. The Revival and American Alpha would kick off the weekend, and they proved that there was no better match to do it. They put on an absolute clinic, with the crowd going wild for American Alpha. The challengers would dethrone The Revival to become new NXT Tag Team Champions. A feel-good moment to start an incredible weekend.
