Three STARDOM Matches That New Fans Need To Check Out

Following STARDOM’s rise to global popularity, here are three singles championship matches from the company that new fans have to check out.

NOTE: The YouTube videos linked below only contain portions of the recommended matches. Full matches and show replays are available on STARDOM’s streaming service: Stardom World.

Giulia vs. Syuri – Dream Queendom 2022

In a battle between two of STARDOM’s top competitors, then World of Stardom Champion Syuri defended her title against Giulia in the main event of Dream Queendom 2022. Wrestling fans who enjoy powerhouse maneuvers and the infamous stiff striking of Japanese wrestling may develop a fandom for both women after watching this bout. Giulia came off winning the 5 Star Grand Prix Tournament to earn herself a shot at the company’s world title that Syuri held at the time. Giulia and Syuri also went way back as tag team partners under the former Donna Del Mondo faction, so expect this match to be a balance of in-ring physicality and personal emotion.

AZM vs. Starlight Kid – Triangle Derby I

AZM and Starlight Kid‘s matches are for wrestling fans who are fond of high-flying and risk-taking competitors. STARDOM has a middle card gimmick belt called the High Speed Championship that is defended under high speed wrestling rules. As for the two wrestlers mentioned, AZM and Starlight Kid have been wrestling one another since their early teenage years. As members of rival factions in Queen’s Quest and Oedo Tai, both women have fought strongly to defeat the other whenever they faced off. Among their multitude of battles, their High Speed Championship match at Triangle Derby I remains to be the most acclaimed because of its intensity mixed with the fast-paced wrestling sequences.

Saya Kamitani vs. Mina Shirakawa – All Star Grand Queendom

No one in STARDOM shows a fighting spirit like Saya Kamitani and Mina Shirakawa. Prior to this match, Saya has been the Wonder of Stardom Champion, the company’s secondary world title, for over 400 days. Mina previously challenged Saya for the title, but the match saw an awkward ending after Saya’s knee landed on Mina’s jaw upon her signature Phoenix Splash. After some time out of action due to severe injury, Mina returned to seek vengeance from her rival at STARDOM’s second biggest show of the year: All Star Grand Queendom. In this match, fans will inevitably witness both women’s pure emotion as Saya vouched to remain a dominant champion whereas Mina needed to prove herself as a worthy competitor.
