Nick’s 12/28 Raw Review: The Good, The Bad & The Wrestling

The Miz vs Kofi Kingston: This was a great match idea. The match itself was solid, but of course didn’t live up to what it could have been given the fact that it was actually 2 matches. The first match should have been a longer battle, because it’s pretty inconceivable that Kingston would beat The US Champ so quickly. The second match should have been longer simply because the tension would have been greater, which then of course would lead to Randy Orton ruining everything. That said, it was a fun match and I can’t wait for Kingston vs Orton next week.

DX vs Big Show and Chavo Guerrero: Eh, what can I say, the match was fun until the little green man interrupted. If this is what we have to look forward to during DX matches from now on, here’s to hoping JeriShow win the titles back on Raw next week, because I do NOT want to see Championship matches ruined by Hornswoggle.

Sheamus vs John Cena: WWE Championship Match: This was a big let down. They hyped the match for a week, then hyped it very well throughout the show, only to give us a championship bout that ended in under 3 minutes? Come on. The DQ finish didn’t bother me, as it makes sense for Sheamus, but how on EARTH am I supposed to take him seriously as the Champion when the match was booked to make it look like he stood no chance at all against Cena in a straight up singles match. They did Sheamus right by having him say in the beginning that he wanted to face Cena in a singles match, but then they stole some of the wind from his sails by having the match end so quickly.
