Chavo Guerrero has been wrestling for over 30 years, and says he has no plans on stopping yet if he gets another chance.
Speaking to Gabby AF in a recent interview, Guerrero was asked what it would take to get him back in the ring. To date, his last in-ring match came in 2019. However, he’s appeared in several promotions over the years, including AEW and ROH in 2021-22, as well as a return to WWE in 2025 as a producer for the AAA brand.
Guerrero joked that “Guerrero’s never retire,” and said he still feels pretty good in the ring.
“You know what? Guerreros never retire,” said Guerrero (via 411Mania). “We never really stop wrestling. We always just we always keep it going. It’s just who we are. It’s just in our DNA, you know. So, my last, you know, kind of big match was that TNA show. I don’t know if you saw that one in uin El Paso, and that was awesome. It was great. I felt really good in the ring. I was in the ring with some really great guys in my hometown of El Paso. So, that was really — I really, really liked it. You never know. I never say never because it’s just a phone call, and you think, I’m never going to do this again. All of a sudden, you get a call going, ‘Well, I guess I’m doing it again.’”
Guerrero was then asked what would happen if someone like Rey Mysterio called him up for a match. The former star joked that it would just take him a couple of days to get into shape.
“I tell you what, Rey and I — He knows me so well. Right now, tomorrow — No, give me five days to get into cardio shape. We will tear the place down. That’s just how well we know each other. We’ve done it everywhere.”
