Intercontinental Championship Match: John Morrison (c) vs Drew McIntyre: This was another entertaining match. Of course they had the unenviable task of following a ladder match, but it was still a very solid wrestling match. It’s refreshing, at least for me, to see a good technical bout on a card that is featuring hardcore main events. I for one don’t mind good technical wrestling, and judging from some opinions out there I suppose I’m in the minority for not craving blood and excessive violence all the time. I predicted that John Morrison would win this match because I have yet to feel like a worthy competitor has come his way that could carry the IC Title. After last night, I still feel the same way. Drew McIntyre is a very skilled wrestler, and he’ll only get better in the ring, but this guy has ZERO charisma. The audience was very flat when he was on the offensive, and if not for Morrison I don’t think they would have cared for the bout at all. WWE has to invest more time in developing the characters of these debuting stars, because they are not providing the sizzle that contrasts with the steak. 6.5 Stars.
