Clutter: Bragging Rights, Why Can’t TNA Learn?, Shane, More

Shane McMahon’s Stepping Down…

but not only from his WWE duties, according to WrestleZone’s Mark Madden.  He’s also stepping down and out from behind Triple H’s shadow in the eyes of his father.

I’m not so bold to make allegations that I can’t back up, but Madden’s theory definitely has that believability factor to it.  I don’t care the reasons, I just hate to see it happen.  Shane was a true entertainer on and off the WWE cameras and although they nixed the father versus son angle too quickly when Vince bought out WCW, I still thought they could always go back to that at some point in the future.

Not with WCW again, necessarily, but with Shane challenging his father for his company and ultimately winning, thus allowing him to take the Donald Trump role and "shake things up".  People got behind the Trump angle because I think wrestling fans are collectively willing to believe anything if it results in change.  While we would still know Vince was pulling the "real" strings behind the scenes (he won’t stop doing that until he’s dead), he could use Shane as a way to try new things creatively.

It’s all a moot point though now…or is it?
