What’s Bothering Me? (In Professional Wrestling)

"Let me first say this: I am 28 and I have been watch wrestling for 15 years now. I am not still 100% on how the whole WWE works but have a better grasp on it than most (to the point that I read WZ and try to learn about backstage and office interactions). Having said that, here are a few things that are bothering me.

D-Bryan is being touted as a submission guy but when he wins, if he wins, it is only usually with the LaBelle Lock. He might throw a submission in every now and again but why not let him win with multiple submissions? I am not a terribly big fan of subs but if you are going to promo the guy as such, I would love to see a wider variety of moves. Much like A-Ry, whose finishing move is … pinning the other guy?

Next thing I have to comment on is Zack Ryder. This is one of those points where I am not sure how much Ryder did on his own and how much was WWE invented. However, I love the Internet Championship. In this digital age, I believe it is an awesome belt. He should have defended it at Night of Champions and it should be a new belt.

Diva matches: As much as I really do appreciate the Phoenix/Kelly match at NOC, I am over the Divas. I would much rather flip the channel to Spike and watch the Knockouts actually wrestle (even though I stopped watching TNA when they started "nWo'ing" the show). Yes they are attractive but I do not want to see bad acting and no talent week after week.

And I will wrap up with my biggest irritation in WWE right now. I love The Rock and I love John Cena, but when they made the match a year in advance, that was dumb. Yes, you get a years worth of promos and blah blah blah, but that match would be just as big if Rock showed up one night and challenged Cena the next PPV. With the amount of followers both of them have on Twitter, with the amount of FB fans, with the Internet Champion Zack Ryder (love Zack btw), with everything, promo a year out was and still is stupid."

Quick Cash Response: I COMPLETELY DISAGREE with that last point Chris made about Rock and Cena.  I loved the idea of the Rock vs Cena being made one year in advance.  Unprecedented things are hard to come by in wrestling these days and when you can do it feasibly, take advantage of it and milk it for all it's worth.
