Number 1: The Return of The Rock

There has never been a superstar’s return to the WWE as big of a media circus than The Rock’s. Last stepping into a ring at Wrestlemania XX, Dwayne left with nothing else to prove. He sold millions of dollars in merchandise, won multiple championships, and become bigger and more of a household name after he left WWE. He farted out a few garbage movies, but ultimately became a huge movie star, something that he always wanted to do. When there were rumblings of his return to action, it was all about a match with John Cena. Cena tried to become what Dwayne became, crossing over into action films. Even though he basically failed, there was still a parallel set between the two men. The Rock came back at Wrestlemania 28 after a year long build to his match. It was not the prettiest match, but gave all of the fans a reason to believe that anything can happen. This was the biggest moment of 2012 because it shows that nobody steps away from the WWE. None of us thought he needed to come back to the squared circle to accomplish anything else. He did, and he considered the WWE his home. Now, he comes back with a more flexible schedule and brings his fans the era that we have all craved to have back. Take your opinions and voice them, but The Rock back in the WWE was the biggest moment of 2012.
