Impact WrestlingThe Undercard

Chavo Guerrero and Hernandez defeated Austin Aries and Bobby Roode to capture the TNA Tag Team Championships. This was a 2/3 falls match that had some great wrestling inside of it. I loved seeing the chemistry that Chavo had with Aries. These two are the pure wrestlers of the match. The first fall went to the heels in less than 30 seconds. It was a great way to put the challengers on the ropes early. We knew it would go to a 3rd fall, and it shocked me to see a title change. What is the overall reason for Chavo and Hernandez to win the titles? Bobby and Austin were doing a fantastic job working as the odd couple. They agreed, bickered, and then came together in the match. It was similar as Kane and Bryan, but better. They have so much potential to keep the tag team division afloat. This was a step back for the division, but hopefully a step ahead in the single's career of Roode and Aries. It still seems random and unnecessary.

Taryn Terrell defeated Gail Kim in Knockouts action. The special referee was ODB. She was a critical part in the match, as she refused to count a cheating Kim. Kim ended up grabbing the tights of Terrell to try and sneak a win, but ODB saw it and did not count. This gave Taryn the chance to roll her up and pick up the victory. The match was okay, but it did not prove anything to me. We did not get a real chance to see if Taryn can wrestle, nor gave us a reason to continue to watch the Knockouts. Bring me the best, not mediocre storylines.

Rob Terry defeated Joey Ryan in your basic squash match. Terry hits a powerful clothesline, a powerslam, and a Freakbuster for the win. It was as simple as that. Now, does Terry continue to get weaker competition, or are they ready to ride his size and look to the midcard?
