Two New Tag Teams Are Much Needed

wwe smackdown The Ascension pick up a squash win against two jobbers. Tyson Kidd and Cesaro defeated Los Matadores. Two “new” tag teams begin to make strides in the right direction on the WWE main roster. As for The Ascension, they are a breath of fresh air. They missed a HUGE opportunity on Monday by not interfering with the tag team championship match or even afterwards when The Uso’s began to celebrate.

I also thought that tonight was meaningless. Fans already KNOW who these guys are. They should not have to build themselves up from the very bottom. If you want them to make a big impact and be taken seriously, put them at the top of the tag team card. With a win like this, it just means WWE wants to slowly build them. WRONG CALL. They NEED new tag teams.

Tyson Kidd and Cesaro could be really good. I am interested to see if WWE will make this tag team something important and meaningful. The talent is there, no doubt. I would love to see them used like Shelton Benjamin and Charlie Haas. Spotlight the fact that they are incredible wrestlers and not worry too much about their “connection” to the crowd. Although Gold/Star, The Uso’s and other teams have been entertaining in 2014, there is a dire need for change. These guys could be the answer. I want their push to be accelerated. It is very much needed at this point in the tag team division.

Currently, Josh Isenberg works for Major League Baseball in their Advanced Media Productions. He grew up in Pittsburgh and went to Point Park University, which is where Chair Shot Reality is filmed each week.

His life outside of his obsession with wrestling include being a savant for Seinfeld, NFL, NBA, MLB and many television shows. He also has an undying love for musicals, which includes many shows he was a part of in high school. Some of his favorite wrestling moments can be linked to such superstars as Edge, The Rock, Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels and The Great Khali.
