Paige Becomes Number One Contender

wwe raw Paige, Sasha Banks, Brie Bella and Becky Lynch all do battle for the chance to face Charlotte for the Divas Championship at Survivor Series. Although it was obvious who would win, let’s not discount this EXCELLENT Fatal Four Way match on Raw.

It was smooth and intelligent. WWE knew that they needed to accomplish a few things. 1. Becky Lynch needed to step out of the spotlight for a little bit and showcase her offensive abilities. She is really good, but has been overshadowed by the daughter of Ric and the ego of Paige. 2. Brie needed to pretend that she was as good as her sister, even though we know she may technically be better but not overall. 3. Paige needed to be a heel at the cost of the popular Sasha Banks.

All of these happened in smooth fashion, with Paige pinning Sasha and stealing her thunder. That makes Sasha still looming for a potential big match in 2016, letting Paige and Charlotte feud for a few months and potentially see a title change. I cannot see Charlotte losing at Survivor Series, but I can see a change in December to shake things up a bit. All in all, a match that accomplished so much and spotlighted execution, attention to detail and a great outcome.

Currently, Josh Isenberg works for Major League Baseball in their Advanced Media Productions. He grew up in Pittsburgh and went to Point Park University, which is where Chair Shot Reality is filmed each week.
His life outside of his obsession with wrestling include being a savant for Seinfeld, NFL, NBA, MLB and many television shows. He also has an undying love for musicals, which includes many shows he was a part of in high school. Some of his favorite wrestling moments can be linked to such superstars as Edge, The Rock, Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels and The Great Khali.
