The main event of the night saw Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins, battling for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. Like usual, the crowd was anti-Roman and being in the arena live was quite the spectacle. It is amazing to see so many fans turn their back on a guy because of his perception to the crowd based on how he is scripted. First off, the guy can wrestle. Second, his reaction is John Cena level right now. If you really don’t want to see him, DO NOT CHANT ANYTHING. During the match, it really was about the knee of Seth, including a focus of attack from Reigns and Seth being careful. Look at his powerbombs and the small details Seth put into them. You never forgot about his injury and continued to wonder how much he could do. He fired on all cylinders and Roman was a great partner to work with in the ring. With some Spears and Superman punches, it seemed to be the night of Roman. That would not be the case, when Seth catches a spear and turns it into a Pedigree. Roman kicks out at two, but is dazed and confused. The end of the match came right after a second Pedigree and Seth Rollins pins Roman clean to become the new champion.

Cue Dean Ambrose, who hits him with the briefcase from behind, follows up with a Dirty Deeds and steals the world championship from Seth Rollins to end the night.

I have been very vocal with how WWE views Dean Ambrose. Why do I not like this? Well, now there is no tease of a cash-in for Money in the Bank until next year. That is such an easy and intriguing storyline for a guy who WWE may or may not have a developed idea of what to do. I also think Kevin Owens needed it. Why? The guy is on such a high level of heel characteristics where it did not make sense for him to be the guy with the briefcase. He could have done so much with it in a storyline, even getting others over and remaining important because of what he holds. What will they do with him now?

I understand The Shield Triple Threat Match idea, but I would have rather seen Seth get his moment, Roman get his rematch and somehow WWE making it a Triple Threat at SummerSlam. Instead, they are going to fight in a month at Battleground. I am just not sold on a guy wearing a beater and jeans, a very generic “lunatic” gimmick becoming the face of the company. (ESPECIALLY AT A CRITICAL TIME IN THE WWE). It should have been Seth. It could have been Roman. It never should have been Dean. At least not “this” Dean that we saw get crushed at WrestleMania and not have a real moment to himself before tonight.
