Isenberg Reacts: WWE Smackdown “Where Are The Mid Card Contenders At?

Chris Jericho vs. Sami Zayn

Jericho stomps on Zayn’s chest in the corner. Zayn with a series of forearms to Jericho. Jericho drops Zayn with a back elbow.

Chris Jericho connects with the LionSault for a two count. Jericho applies a side headlock. Jericho kicks Zayn in the chest. Zayn fires up with a lariat. Zayn lands a series of haymakers to Jericho. Jericho rolls out of the ring. Zayn with a running clothesline. Zayn rolls Jericho back into the ring. Zayn with a flying crossbody for a two count. Jericho with a boot to the face to Zayn. Jericho connects with a flying enziguri for a two count. Zayn kicks Jericho in the chests. Zayn with a rolling Tornado DDT that sends Jericho to the outside.

Sami Zayn with a somersault plancha onto Jericho. Owens throws a drink at Zayn. Kevin Owens talks smack to Zayn. Zayn throws Jericho onto Owens. Zayn rolls Jericho back into the ring. Jericho goes for a flying double axe handle, but Zayn counters with a exploder suplex. Zayn with a Helluva Kick that knocks Owens off the ring apron. Jericho rolls Zayn up for a two count. Jericho goes for the Walls of Jericho, but Zayn counters with a roll up to pickup the victory. After the match Jericho drops Zayn with the Codebreaker. Owens gets back into the ring and goes to the ground and pound attack. Owens plants Zayn with the Pop Up Powerbomb.

This was an excellent match and the refined personality of Chris Jericho is really good. He continues to be consistent and helps out the younger roster. You can tell he is having a blast with these guys and his smooth execution in the ring is definitely something not to overlook.

Kevin Owens needed to do something tonight to establish that he has the upper hand in his feud. Let Owens come to us naturally, cowardly and with a lot of force. That was given to us to end a really smooth episode of Smackdown.

His life outside of his obsession with wrestling include being a savant for Seinfeld, NFL, NBA, MLB and many television shows. He also has an undying love for musicals, which includes many shows he was a part of in high school. Some of his favorite wrestling moments can be linked to such superstars as Edge, The Rock, Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels and The Great Khali.
