The Club Is a Gang

The Club and The New Day do battle. Did it matter that they lost? Absolutely not. Anderson and Gallows are rebels, guys who are looking to take over Raw and do it with aggression. I love that they are such natural heels in the company and their pairing with The New Day provides such a fun and old school looking dynamic to their feud. Tonight was a positive, yet easy step for WWE to utilize their talent but not overexpose them.

Taking out Big E means they are taking out the strongest guy in a team of three. I would have them target Big E, giving them the heel advantage into SummerSlam. It makes sense and tells us that real heels in WWE are still out there. Simple, yet very effective. Do you hear many cheers? No. THAT IS THE POINT.

Sheamus vs. Cesaro

A hard fight between Sheamus and Cesaro. Cesaro would hit a big suplex, but Sheamus chops him down a few times. He also connects with a back body drop. Cesaro hits a few uppercuts and then rolls him up for two. Sheamus hits a boot, but Cesaro reverses him into a Neutralizer for the win.

A good match, but nothing extremely special. I wonder why this match was not given more time, about 15 minutes. Both men can really go, but it did not seem like they reached a dramatic element to the match. Give me another segment of these guys and cut the fat out of the tag team matches that had little relevance to them (That is to you, Shining Stars).

Heath Slater and the returning Jinder Mahal make it to the ring and Slater calls them 2MB. Mick Foley comes out and says that they will compete against one another. He calls it Battle of the Bands. Jinder Mahal hits a big kick and then gets his contract.

I mean, this was interesting enough. I can’t believe that Jinder Mahal is back out of nowhere. I like this angle and enjoy Heath Slater. Will it be more than a few quick segments or will it transition into something bigger and better?

Currently, Josh Isenberg works for Major League Baseball in their Advanced Media Productions. He grew up in Pittsburgh and went to Point Park University, which is where Chair Shot Reality is filmed each week.
His life outside of his obsession with wrestling include being a savant for Seinfeld, NFL, NBA, MLB and many television shows. He also has an undying love for musicals, which includes many shows he was a part of in high school. Some of his favorite wrestling moments can be linked to such superstars as Edge, The Rock, Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels and The Great Khali.
